Cheesy Sausage Egg Casserole (Printable Version)

01 - 8 whole eggs
02 - 1 1/2 cups whole milk
03 - 3 tsp kosher salt, divided
04 - Fresh cracked black pepper
05 - 16 oz. pork sausage or store-bought sausage crumbles
06 - 1, 10.2 oz. can flaky homestyle biscuits (5 biscuits)
07 - 8 oz. frozen tater tots
08 - 8 oz. pepper jack cheese, shredded

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a large casserole dish.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, 2 teaspoons of salt, and fresh pepper. Whisk well to combine. Mix in shredded cheese.
03 - In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, brown the sausage until cooked through. Drain any excess fat if needed, and season with the remaining salt and fresh cracked pepper.
04 - Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces and sprinkle them evenly in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Top evenly with cooked sausage and frozen tater tots. Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
05 - Cover loosely with foil or a lid and bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes or until the eggs are set. If desired, broil on high for a few minutes to get a golden brown crust.
