Peel and cube the sweet potatoes into 1-inch pieces.

Transfer cooked sweet potatoes to a blender. Add butter, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.

Add more milk for desired consistency and sweeten with maple syrup if needed.
