Peanut Butter Bread Classic (Printable Version)

Soft, fluffy peanut butter bread ideal for breakfast or as a wholesome snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1 1/2 cups flour (spelt or white all-purpose)
02 - 1/2 cup protein powder or additional flour
03 - 1/2 cup sugar (unrefined or xylitol if desired)
04 - 2 tsp baking powder
05 - 3/4 tsp salt
06 - 1/2 tsp baking soda
07 - Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon

→ Wet Ingredients

08 - 1 cup water
09 - 1/2 cup peanut butter
10 - 1 egg or flax egg, or 3 tbsp additional water

→ Optional Additions

11 - Handful of mini chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, raisins, etc.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Grease a 9x5 loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
02 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
03 - If the peanut butter is not already soft, gently warm it until easy to stir.
04 - Stir together flour, protein powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and optional cinnamon in a large bowl.
05 - Whisk in water, peanut butter, and egg until just evenly mixed.
06 - Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
07 - Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
08 - Let cool before going around the sides of the pan with a knife and transferring the bread onto a serving plate.

# Additional Notes:

01 - To make a dessert version, increase sugar to 1 cup and add a handful of chocolate chips.
02 - You may substitute the egg with a flax egg or additional water.
