Flaky pastry filled with semi-sweet chocolate, air fried until golden brown and dusted with confectioners' sugar.

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry (17.3 ounces pack)
02 - ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels or chips
03 - 1 small egg for egg wash
04 - ½ teaspoon confectioner's sugar for dusting

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat air fryer to 370°F (188°C) and set timer for 15 minutes.
02 - Thaw puff pastry sheet until pliable. Unfold on a parchment-lined tray dusted with flour and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
03 - Place semi-sweet chocolate morsels at the center of each rectangle. Fold pastry on both sides and press the end tips with a fork. Make two slits on top of each pastry.
04 - If pastry becomes too soft, chill in refrigerator for 15-20 minutes or freezer for 5-10 minutes to ensure better puffing.
05 - Gently transfer chocolate-filled pastries onto the air fryer tray, ensuring sufficient space between each piece.
06 - Lightly brush each pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
07 - Insert air fryer tray into the middle cooking chamber near the rotisserie catch.
08 - Cook pastries for 12-15 minutes or until completely puffed and golden brown.
09 - Remove tray from cooking chamber and allow pastries to cool for a couple of minutes before transferring to a serving plate.
10 - Lightly dust with confectioners' sugar using a sieve before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - This recipe uses an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Different air fryer models may require time and temperature adjustments.
02 - Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet morsels work well, but any preferred brand of semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips can be substituted.
03 - Place seam side down for a neat appearance or seam side up for a more rustic, uneven puff effect.
04 - Lightly spray older air fryer trays with oil to prevent sticking.
