01 - 1/4 cup cocoa powder
02 - 2 cups quick oats
03 - 1/4 tsp salt
04 - 1/2 cup peanut butter or allergy-friendly substitute
05 - 1/2 cup pure maple syrup, honey, or agave or 2/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup milk of choice
06 - 1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
07 - Optional: 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
08 - Optional: Handful of mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, etc.

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Warm the liquid ingredients until easily stir-able. Use a pot on the stove if preferred for making the entire recipe in one pot. Turn off the heat once liquid ingredients are softened.
02 - Stir in the remaining ingredients until well mixed.
03 - Chill the mixture until firm enough to form into balls or cookie shapes using your hands or a cookie scoop. Place on a wax or parchment-lined plate.
04 - Chill again to set the cookies. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer, or leave them in a cool place.
