In a large bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, maple syrup (or honey or agave), water, oil (or additional water), and vanilla extract until well combined.

In the same bowl, stir in the flour, protein powder (or additional flour), baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cardamom (if using). Mix until just evenly combined.

Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to smash them.

Smooth the batter into the prepared pan. Bake on the center rack for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
