Homemade Ferrero Rocher Balls (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups hazelnuts
02 - 1/4 cup cocoa powder or cacao powder
03 - 1/4 cup sugar or granulated sweetener of choice
04 - 1/4 tsp salt
05 - 1/8 tsp pure vanilla extract

→ Optional Garnishes

06 - whole and chopped roasted hazelnuts
07 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips

# Steps to Follow:

01 - If starting with raw hazelnuts instead of roasted, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake on a parchment-lined sheet for six minutes or until they begin to brown. Rub together in a cloth or paper towel to remove most of the skins. A few skins remaining is acceptable.
02 - Using a food processor or high-speed blender, finely chop the roasted hazelnuts for approximately 20 seconds.
03 - Add the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract to the chopped hazelnuts. Blend until the mixture is evenly incorporated.
04 - Roll the mixture into balls or press into desired shapes. Optionally, press a hazelnut into the center of each ball, dip in melted chocolate, and garnish with chopped hazelnuts.
